Hearts2Hearts fandom terms in Korean: S2U, Hatuha, member names

12 fan-letter lines built on real S2U words — copy, personalize, handwrite

What does S2U (하츄) mean?

S2U, read 하츄 (Hachu) in Korean, is Hearts2Hearts' official fandom name, announced at the group's debut in February 2025. The members explained it as the heart-shaped “S2” in the middle of Hearts2Hearts plus “U”: fans are always at the center of the group, and the two sides always stay by each other. It is also the name of the official fan club. Our app translates fan messages from 28 languages into Korean, and before this week our pipeline never wrote 하츄 for S2U. In 24 test runs across English, Spanish, Japanese and Indonesian, 20 left the Latin letters S2U inside the Korean sentence, and the other four guessed at a sound: 에스투유 once, and for “I'm a proud S2U from Brazil”, 제이투유 or 제일, which means “number one”. Latin letters cannot be written on a Hangul-only card, so the fandom name simply fell out of the message.

Fans who typed Hachu were fine all along; it came back as 하츄 in every run. The rule we added this week pins S2U and s2u to 하츄 and says in plain words that 하츄 is the fans, never the group. In sentences our rule never shows as examples, “Thank you for calling us S2U, it means the world to me” now comes back as 하츄 in every run, and the Korean lines below are written the way S2U write it themselves.

  • S2U will always be by your side, Hearts2Hearts — 하츄는 언제나 하츠투하츠 곁에 있을게요 Make this into a card
  • Being one of S2U makes me so happy — 하츄가 되어서 정말 행복해요 Make this into a card
  • S2U all over the world are cheering for you — 전 세계 하츄가 함께 응원해요 Make this into a card
  • Thank you for calling us S2U — 하츄라고 불러 줘서 고마워요 Make this into a card

How do you write Hearts2Hearts in Korean, and what is Hatuha (하투하)?

Hearts2Hearts is written 하츠투하츠 in Korean, as one word. Korean press and the members themselves shorten it to 하투하 (Hatuha), and a Korean magazine lists H2H as the Latin short form. Our translator already had the full name right, so the surprises were in the variations: “H2H” stayed in Latin letters in all three runs, “Hearts 2 Hearts” with spaces came back as 하츠 투 하츠 with the spaces kept, and typing the name alone once returned 하트투하트, which reads as “heart to heart”, not the group. After this week's rule, all five variations we tested, these three plus lower-case hearts2hearts and a Japanese sentence, come back as 하츠투하츠, 15 of 15 runs.

One thing did not improve, and we would rather say so. Romanized “hatuha” used to come back as 하투하 every time; since the fandom rule went in, it is pulled toward 하츄 in 2 of 3 runs. If you mean the short name, write it in Hangul, 하투하, as the lines below do, or write the full name.

  • I start my day with Hearts2Hearts songs — 하츠투하츠 노래로 하루를 시작해요 Make this into a card
  • Hatuha, I'll be cheering for today's performance too — 하투하, 오늘 무대도 응원할게요 Make this into a card
  • Every Hearts2Hearts performance gets me excited — 하츠투하츠 무대는 볼 때마다 신나요 Make this into a card
  • Thanks to Hearts2Hearts, every day is fun — 하츠투하츠 덕분에 매일이 즐거워요 Make this into a card

How do you write Juun, A-na and Ye-on in Korean?

The eight members are 지우 (Jiwoo), 카르멘 (Carmen), 유하 (Yuha), 스텔라 (Stella), 주은 (Juun), 에이나 (A-na), 이안 (Ian) and 예온 (Ye-on), spelled the way Korean newspapers spell them. Five of those names came back right in every test, but three tripped our translator, because their romanizations do not sound the way the Hangul does. Juun became 준 in all 12 runs, which is a different name. Ye-on became 연 or 여온 in 5 of 6 runs. A-na, written with the hyphen in lower case, became 아나 in all 15 runs. We added 주은 and 예온 this week: “Happy birthday Juun! I made this card for you”, a sentence our rule never shows, now comes back as 주은 in 6 of 6 runs, and Ye-on comes back as 예온 every time.

We did not add A-na, and the reason is a trade-off we chose, not a technical limit. Every version of the rule we tried also turned fans named Ana into 에이나: with the rule, “Hi, I'm Ana from Mexico and I love Hearts2Hearts” kept 아나 in only 0 to 1 of 6 runs, against 6 of 6 without it. Ana is a common name in Spanish and Portuguese, two of the languages our fans write in, so we chose to protect the fan's own name. If you write to A-na, type 에이나 in Hangul yourself, or start from the line below, which already has it.

  • Juun, your husky voice is amazing — 주은, 허스키한 목소리가 정말 멋져요 Make this into a card
  • A-na, thank you for your bright energy, always — 에이나, 밝은 에너지 늘 고마워요 Make this into a card
  • Ye-on, you shine so brightly on stage — 예온, 무대 위에서 반짝반짝 빛나요 Make this into a card
  • Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella and Ian, I'm always cheering for you too — 지우, 카르멘, 유하, 스텔라, 이안도 항상 응원해요 Make this into a card
